How much 100mb of eSIM data is

You’ve got 100 MB on your eSIM. What does that cover in real life? Here’s a friendly guide with easy examples. (Numbers are approximate and can change by phone and signal.)

Google Maps
• Best way: download the map of your city on Wi-Fi before you travel. Then Maps uses very little data — you can navigate for a whole day.
• Without downloading maps: live map loading uses more data. Expect about 30–50 minutes of turn-by-turn navigation on 100 MB.
• Searching places/zooming: roughly 30–100 searches.

Quick tip: Open Maps → your profile → Offline maps → download the city/area.

YouTube
• Video eats data fast. With low quality (144–240p) you get about 30–60 minutes.
• At standard quality (480p) you only get around 10 minutes.
• HD is not worth it on 100 MB (just a few minutes).

Quick tip: Turn on Data Saver/Low quality, and watch or download videos on Wi-Fi whenever possible.

WhatsApp
• Texts: tiny — you can send thousands of messages.
• Photos: about 100–300 photos (depends on size).

Quick tip: In WhatsApp → Storage and Data, set Media Auto-Download to Wi-Fi only.

Make Your 100 MB Last
• Turn off background app refresh and automatic updates on cellular.
• Download maps, music, and videos on Wi-Fi before leaving.
• Keep cloud photo backups on Wi-Fi only.
• When you land, turn on the eSIM, then restart your phone to get signal.

100 MB is great for messages, hours of voice calls, and a lot of Maps (if you download maps first). It’s not for long video streaming or long video calls.
